Call tracking

Call Tracking for Chiropractors

For many practices, the phone is still the main way new patients get in touch. Call tracking shows which campaigns and keywords make it ring, so your budget follows the calls that matter.

What you can see

Call data that informs decisions

  • Calls by campaign, keyword, and ad
  • Calls from ads versus your website
  • Call duration and time of day
  • Missed and unanswered calls
  • Calls that meet your qualified-call rules

Why it matters

A Tracked Call Isn't Always a Qualified Lead

Call counts alone can mislead. Wrong numbers, vendors, and existing patients rescheduling all show up as calls. Good call tracking helps separate them.

Attribution

Call assets in your ads and dynamic numbers on your website show which source produced each call.

Qualification

A minimum call length and periodic outcome reviews help distinguish real new-patient inquiries from everything else.

Front desk insight

Missed-call and after-hours patterns show where inquiries are lost before anyone can book them.

What's included

How We Set Up Call Tracking

We configure call tracking around your phone system and the way your front desk works.

1

Choose the right tool

We recommend a call tracking provider that fits your needs and budget, and review its privacy terms with you.

2

Number setup

Tracking numbers are assigned by source, while your main number stays on your listings for consistency.

3

Google Ads integration

Calls from ads, and calls from your website after an ad click, are recorded as conversions.

4

Qualified-call rules

Duration thresholds and other rules make sure only meaningful calls count toward optimization.

5

Reporting

Call volume, sources, and trends are included in your monthly report.

6

Ongoing checks

We monitor for forwarding problems and broken numbers so calls don't go missing.

Recording and privacy

Call Recording Requires Care

Call recording can help evaluate lead quality and train front desk staff, but patients often share health information on these calls. Recording is not automatically HIPAA-compliant just because a vendor offers it.

Before turning recording on, review consent requirements in your state, your call tracking vendor's terms, and whether a business associate agreement is needed. Many practices track calls without recording them, and we can set it up either way.

Questions to settle first

  • Does your state require all-party consent to record?
  • Will the vendor sign a business associate agreement if needed?
  • Who can access recordings, and for how long?
  • Is recording necessary, or is call duration enough?

FAQ

Call Tracking Questions

Will tracking numbers hurt my local SEO?

Not when set up properly. Your primary number stays on your Google Business Profile and directory listings, and tracking numbers are used in ads and on the website where appropriate.

Does call tracking cost extra?

Call tracking software has its own subscription cost, separate from our fees. We'll explain the options and costs before anything is set up.

Can you tell which calls became new patients?

Only with your input. Some practices mark outcomes in the call tracking tool or share appointment data with us. Otherwise we report on qualified calls.

Do I need call recording?

No. Many practices get what they need from call source and duration. Recording is optional and should only be turned on after a privacy and consent review.
